Procedures

Registration:
- Sunrise Period: from the 9th of December, 2015 to the 31st of January, 2016
This period is reserved for the owner of an SMD file.
- Godfathering: from the 15th of March, 2016 to the 15th of May, 2016
All current owners of a .com second level domain name will be able to register the perfect match of their domain name in . コム provided their domain is not in the Add Grace Period. Each applicant shall have the exclusive right during the Godfathering period to register the exact match of the existing .com second level domain name in any one or more of the Registry TLDs provided:
(i) such matching second level domain name is available for registration in such Registry TLDs during the Godfathering period
(ii) such matching second level domain name is registered through a Registrar that is the same Registrar-of-record for the existing .com second level domain name
- Landrush period: from the 16th of May, 2016 to the 12nd of June, 2016
The Landrush is open to everyone under the "first come first served" basis.
- General Availability: from the 13rd of June, 2016

Renewal: domains are deactivated upon expiration. It is possible to renew up to 45 days following the expiration date
Disputes: URS and UDRP
Transfer (change of Registrar): the process is started on the new registrar's interface with an auth code. Ensure that your domain does not have a TransferProhibited status, is older than 60 days and has not been transferred in the last 60 days. The effective transfer depends on your validation (by email) and renews the domain name for one year
Change of Ownership: available on our interface, the current procedure consists in email confirmation by both former and new domain name owner. The expiration date is unchanged
Deletion process: quarantine of 30 days, see this table
