Why .it?
Why get a .it domain name?
Initially created in 1987, .it is Italy's geographic domain ending. However, English-speaking users often use this domain to make "domain hacks", that is, .it can be used to make a word or expression that "crosses the dot". For example, you could use almost any verb: do.it, buy.it, etc. Word game aficionados will particularly enjoy coming up with a .it domain name.
The .it domain ending: a popular and respected domain ending
Beyond its playful, humorous side, .it enjoys an excellent reputation in that it's known around the world and across Europe, and is sought after beyond Italy's borders. By choosing a .it domain name, you give your site an international outlook.
Please note that .it domain names are, however, subject to certain constraints: they're only available for individuals who live within the European Union, or businesses registered within the EU with a European VAT number.
Open up opportunities for your business with a .it domain name
For most European internet users, a .it domain name is a safe bet. The profitability of your investment is assured.
